We recognize that an active toothache can be the worst type of dental emergency. Dr. Macaulay treats dental emergencies with utmost care and concern. Since we all have deep appreciation of the great outdoors, we have taken drastic steps to maintain an environmentally conscious office. We have reduced our use of plastics by over 90% and opted for alternative sterilizing methods, including steam-under-pressure autoclaves and hospital-grade disinfectants. We minimize the use of paper products and have opted for electronic communication whenever possible. For those that have ditched the car and are riding bikes to get around, we now have a new bike rack to secure your bike to during your visit.
When you have a need for a specialist, we work with some of the most well-qualified in Silicon Valley. Dr. Macaulay works closely with our team of specialists in delivering the best care possible. Our office maintains open communication with our oral surgeon, root canal specialist, periodontist, and orthodontist. Together, they will ensure that your treatments yield the best possible results.
Being numb for hours after a dental appointment can be a big inconvenience. Not only is speech slurred, but accidents can happen from biting yourself while waiting for anesthesia to wear off. In many cases, Dr. Macaulay is able to reverse your numbness using a special medication at the end of your dental appointment. This allows our patients to return to normal speaking and chewing much sooner. Please ask Dr. Macaulay if this procedure is right for you.
